Ambition
AAU aims to be a research spearhead in terms of focused and integrated research on AI and the intersection of these. We will position AAU with a distinctive AI profile that is known for being a key contributor to solving major societal challenges. Vision
AI:X Labs serves as a bridge between research “in,” “with,” and “through” AI, embracing both AI-focused and AI-integrated approaches. AI-focused efforts advance the foundations and technologies of AI itself - developing algorithms, models, and data methods - while AI-integrated research applies these tools to other fields from ethics and organisational studies to societal challenges. Each lab features a balanced leadership team, PhD positions, and mentorship to support the next generation of AI researchers.
